If I Am a Racist, Hate-Filled, Fear-Monger – Can Obama Still Be a Marxist?

Some people dismiss my insistence that Obama is a communist (Marxist) as the ranting of a racist, hate-filled, redneck who is just opposed to change.   Well if you believe that is that path that brought me to this point then please don’t bother to read this and certainly do not respond. To quote that brilliant statesman Al Gore, “The time for debate is over.”

If you can read (or better yet listen) to the man’s actual words and still maintain that he is not a Marxist, bent on the complete reinterpretation of the constitution and dismantling of our capitalist society, then all I can say my friends is, get your excuses ready because the train’s a come’n.

The transcript below is from a radio interview on Chicago Public Radio from 2001.  I heard it for the first time yesterday. If you don’t understand what it means, just watch The Daily Show or Saturday Night Live. They will explain it to you in a way that will make you laugh at what a fearful buffoon I am.

Barack Obama, in 2001:

You know, if you look at the victories and failures of the civil-rights movement, and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples. So that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at a lunch counter and order and as long as I could pay for it, I’d be okay, but the Supreme Court never entered into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.

Boston to Shut Down City’s Cigar Bars

There is no end in sight to Fascism in the name of Public Welfare.

From: Boston.com

Dr. Barbara Ferrer, director of the city’s Public Health Commission, said she doesn’t want any more young people to pick up the deadly habits.

She said she wants to “de-normalize” smoking.

The restrictions, which face a final vote by the commission’s seven-member board on Nov. 13, also would ban smoking on outdoor patios at restaurants and other businesses and prohibit tobacco sales on college campuses and by all drug stores in the city.

“Ideally, I’d like to say by 2025 that we don’t have anybody smoking,” Ferrer said.

The push has sparked debate about how much government intervention is too much, how far into private lives government should reach, and why, in a tough economy, the city would propose shutting down viable businesses.

Cigar Masters co-owner Brett Greenfield said he and his partners invested $270,000 in the Back Bay bar, relying on the smoking ban exemption.

“We’re in a 20-year lease and they want to shut us down,” Greenfield said. “There aren’t people who are in there who are expecting to not be around second-hand smoke.”

Ayers’ Weathermen planned “re-education”, genocide

From the 1982 documentary “No Place to Hide”

While many defenders of Weather Underground co-founder William Ayers have sought to minimize his bomb attacks on the U.S. Capitol and other landmarks because they purportedly did not target people, a former FBI informant who penetrated the group claimed he witnessed a meeting in which members discussed a future communist takeover of America in which some 25 million “diehard capitalists” would need to be killed.

Sony Succumbs To Muslim Threats

Filed under:Bill of Rights,Culture War,Technology,War on Terror — posted by Q Ball on 10/21/2008 @ 5:26 pm

Sony, like Comedy Central and the Danish newspapers before it, has bowed to the threat of terrorism. A few verses from the Koran were combined with music in a new game that was to be released this week. Instead the game will be delayed while Sony removes the “offensive” lyrics and music after receiving a letter from a muslim demanding it be taken out of the game. Everyone in this country says we are for freedom, but when no one is willing to stand up and defend it, the words we speak are simply that and nothing more. Our ideas mean absolutely nothing unless people are willing to defend them, with their life if it must come to that. I am sick of people cherry-picking what causes to defend and which ones to let fall and die. If we are for freedom then we are ALWAYS for freedom everywhere for everyone. I fear that we are no longer producing the type of people willing to take a stand and fight back against the forces that would run us over. If you think this is trivial, you are in denial.

Missouri “Truth Squads” To Protect Obama Campaign

Some Missouri Prosecutors and Law Enforcement Officials say that Obama is a Christian who wants to cut taxes and that they will prosecute the producers of political ads that say otherwise.

The Missouri Governor is not happy. Says these prosecutors meant to intimidate, and that kind of abuse of power is a federal offense.

The Audacity Of Socialism

From: IBD

Barack Obama summed up well the perversity of Democratic Party thinking when he told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly that it is “neighborliness” for Washington to hike taxes on those who are “sitting pretty.”

…It’s galling that Obama thinks his definitions of “neighborliness” and “fairness” should be codified into tax law while ignoring the possibility that others might not agree with his personal interpretation of those words. Why should Obama’s definitions carry more weight than someone who believes that being a good neighbor and being fair means supporting one low rate for everyone?

No More Light Bulbs

One thing environmentalists failed to acknowledge when supporting new CFL light bulbs was the fact that CFLs contain mercury. Mercury is a toxin that has been proven to cause birth defects and is the reason people should not eat certain types of fish. When it comes to the environment I guess the cause is more important than the environment itself. This video shows what the environmentalism mind-set has forced on everyone: Transcript courtesy of TomCat.

Sarah Palin Is My Girl Too

From: Uncle Ted

America needs more outsiders in Washington, D.C. now more than ever. We need more tough, standup hockey moms like Governor Sarah Palin. We need more ordinary Americans to springboard from small city councils to the halls of congress and beyond. We need welders, cops, teachers, ditch diggers, business people, construction workers, secretaries, auto mechanics, and guitar slingers to come to Washington, D.C. and replant the good old “We the People” tree.

China – “Re-Education Through Labor”

All these people did was “apply” for permission to demonstrate. Now they get to spend a year at a labor camp. I wonder if that “camp” has canoes and sing-a-longs? It’s probably nothing like a prison.

From: Reuters

…petitioners Wu Dianyuan, 79, and Wang Xiuying, 77, were sentenced to one year of “re-education through labor” after repeatedly applying to demonstrate in areas set aside for protests during the Games, Human Rights in China said.

“In China, as in other countries, applications for demonstrations must go through legal procedures,” the Foreign Ministry’s Qin said when asked about the two petitioners.

None of dozens of applications to protest has been approved.

Publisher Enables Terrorism

Random House has decided to forgo publishing a book about Mohamed’s love life for fear that it will spark violence and riots from Muslims. I thought Islam was the religion of peace.

Via Rueters:

“In this instance we decided, after much deliberation, to postpone publication for the safety of the author, employees of Random House, booksellers and anyone else who would be involved in distribution and sale of the novel,” Perry said.

In other words, just like Comedy Central, you have self-censored yourself and proved to everyone just what kind of cowards you are. Reporters in this country will publish the names of undercover agents in the name of the First Amendment but when it comes to Islam no one dares mention anything after the “cartoon controversy”.

“Knife Crime” on the rise, BBC reports

From: BBC

“Tackling knife culture, especially among young people, is paramount to the safety of our communities, and I am determined to reduce the devastation caused by knife crime,” then Home Secretary Charles Clarke said in the spring of 2006.

Since then there has been a knife amnesty, numerous government initiatives and photo opportunities, with ministers slamming home the same message – that knives will not be tolerated.

But still the deaths caused by knives go on.

“Knife culture”, really? Great Britain has banned almost all forms of firearms and yet violent crime continues to rise. How can that be? I’ll tell you how, they haven’t banned enough classes of inanimate tools  to make the country truly safe. Next on the list, kitchen knives. This quote is from 2005 but typifies that bizarre mindset.

As knives are so readily available, does a culinary reason exist for so many domestic knives…

In the same article the author says that other weapons of choice include bats, chains, and screw drivers.  OK, why do baseball (or I suppose in this case Cricket) teams need so many bats? Can’t the whole team or even both teams all use the same bat? One that can be carried to and from the field in an armored car (when its not locked in its government regulated bat vault). Why can’t bicycles use rubber bands to rotate the wheels instead of chains? And don’t get me started on screwdrivers, why in the world do mechanics and handymen need so many of them? We could have them all serial numbered and chained to 500lb concrete blocks. Then anyone found with an unregistered, untethered screw fastening tool could be put behind bars where they belong.

Blogging: Punishable by Death

New legislation has been proposed in Iran that could make blogging a crime punishable by death. Cyrus Farivar has a story on today’s edition of the PRI radio show The World: Iran considers harsh penalty for some bloggers

Over at Global Voices, Hamid Tehrani writes: On Wednesday, Iranian members of parliament voted to discuss a draft bill that seeks to “toughen punishment for disturbing mental security in society.” The text of the bill would add, “establishing websites and weblogs promoting corruption, prostitution and apostasy,” to the list of crimes punishable by death.

House Grants Telecom Amnesty, Expands Spying Powers

For those of you still laboring under the delusion that the Democrats are any different than the Republicans when comes to your constitutional rights, here is more evidence to the contrary.

From Wired:

The Democratic-controlled House of Representatives quickly passed a bill Friday that will expand the government’s ability to install blanket wiretaps inside the United States. It will also put an end to the lawsuits filed against the nation’s telecoms for helping the government spy on Americans without getting the necessary court orders.

Dodd’s Invasion Of Privacy

Senator Chris Dodd has inserted into a new housing bill a requirement that all electronic payments be reported to the government.

Privacy groups like the Center for Democracy and Technology and small business organizations like the NFIB sharply criticized this idea when it first appeared earlier this year. What is the federal government’s purpose with this kind of detailed data? How will this database be secured, and who will have access?

We consistently give the state ever increasing power that now the security guards at memorials think the can arrest people on a whim.

Dutch YouTube Posters Say ‘Sorry’ for Fitna

The Politics of Cigars

From: Kinky Friedman via Texas Monthly

…The combined might of our government appears capable only of criminalizing trivia. You’d think George Washington crossed the Delaware expressly to keep Winston Churchill, Mark Twain, and Groucho Marx at least twenty feet away from the entrance to Katz’s Deli.

…I respect anyone with genuine intentions regarding the welfare of all people. What I object to are officious little hall monitors who use health as a smoke screen to promote their agenda and themselves. What I want these people to put in their pipes is this: Spain, Israel, Japan, Italy, France, and Greece all have more smokers per capita than the U.S. They also have longer life expectancies than we do. What can we conclude from this? Speaking English is killing us!
