Cyberspace Command

The United States Air Force has commissioned a new command to operate solely in cyberspace and to use it as an arena for war. I think that the Air Force is the most forward looking of all the military branches and they got this idea right. We need to find and destroy the enemy where ever they operate and if that is in cyberspace so be it.

“The aim is to develop a major command that stands alongside Air Force Space Command and Air Combat Command as the provider of forces that the President, combatant commanders and the American people can rely on for preserving the freedom of access and commerce, in air, space and now cyberspace,” Air Force Secretary Michael Wynne told an industry conference.

He’s left with the argument that he misquoted himself while trying to show off his supposed intellectual superiority over George Bush, and that it’s all Bush’s fault despite being Kerry’s intellectual inferior. Really, no one could have scripted a more hilarious scenario, and the longer Kerry continues this line of defense/offense, the more ridiculous a figure he becomes.

The German author Henryk M. Broder recently told the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant (12 October) that young Europeans who love freedom, better emigrate. Europe as we know it will no longer exist 20 years from now. Whilst sitting on a terrace in Berlin, Broder pointed to the other customers and the passers-by and said melancholically: “We are watching the world of yesterday.”

… Broder is convinced that the Europeans are not willing to oppose islamization. “The dominant ethos,” he told De Volkskrant, “is perfectly voiced by the stupid blonde woman author with whom I recently debated. She said that it is sometimes better to let yourself be raped than to risk serious injuries while resisting. She said it is sometimes better to avoid fighting than run the risk of death.”

Today the UN Security Council passed a unaninous resolution regarding North Korea. I don’t know how much faith I have in this, but it is a small step in the right direction.

Smith’s actions in Iraq were the most recent actions for which a Medal of Honor was awarded. He was also the first recipient of the Medal of Honor Flag.

This bill would put “alien unlawful combatants” through military type trials. This bill is not as long as most, so it should be no problem to read and form your own conclusions. Always be wary of people who will mis-quote or take phrases out of context to further their own agenda.

Increasing Muslim Violence In France

Many of Paris’s muslims are becoming increasingly violent toward police.

“Everyone took note of last week’s fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, but blogger “Tigerhawk” notes an anniversary of an event of equal importance: President Bush’s Sept. 20, 2001, war speech to a joint session of Congress. The speech holds up awfully well. Here are a few highlights:

The terrorists practice a fringe form of Islamic extremism that has been rejected by Muslim scholars and the vast majority of Muslim clerics; a fringe movement that perverts the peaceful teachings of Islam. . . .

Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated. . . .

Americans are asking, why do they hate us?

They hate what they see right here in this chamber: a democratically elected government. Their leaders are self-appointed. They hate our freedoms: our freedom of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to vote and assemble and disagree with each other.

Our response involves far more than instant retaliation and isolated strikes. Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen.

They Don’t Care How You Vote, They Just Want You Dead

Is listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, torture?

On the 9/12 O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly had a guest on from Human Rights Watch, who said that playing the Red Hot Chili Peppers could possibly be considered torture.

Apparently I have been inflicting torture on myself for years now without being aware of it. I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Maybe I should rethink my choice of music so as not to subject myself to such horrendous acts.
